In a world of chaos and uncertainty, what does sanctuary mean? Where do we go to find a place of safety in times of crisis? In this sonic exploration, audiences are invited to put on their headphones, take a walk, and be immersed in the stories and sounds of the community of The Cathedral of St. John the Divine.

Sanctuary was a site-specific performance developed over several years. The completed version was to premiere in 2020. As a result of the pandemic Working Theater and Storyline produced the performance as a soundwalk that was available for download in the fall of 2020.
